Members

Hog's Back Writers is a longstanding group, and in the past ten years have had 6 novels published, and have won or been shortlisted for prizes, including the Bath Novel Award, the Yeovil Literature Prize, the Commonwealth Diversity prize, and the One Giant Leap Award for Science Fiction.

Sally Ann

Sally Ann prolifically publishes books and stories on Amazon, and is the organiser of the annual Farnham Flash fiction competition.

Richard

Richard was born in the Yorkshire Dales and completed his schooling in Croydon. A stint at Liverpool University set him on the road to a career in engineering that took him inside the bowels of buildings and to many corners of the globe.

 

He writes crime thrillers and has completed three novels to date.

Rosemary

Born in England, Rosemary was lucky enough to survive a torpedo attack on the passenger ship Athena at the outbreak of World War II. After a childhood in Canada, she returned with her parents to England, took her A-levels, and entered Somerville College, Oxford University for a degree in Psychology, Philosophy and Physiology.

 

During her working career, she was mainly occupied in research focused on workforce morale and consumer research. She is a long-time member of the Tolkien Society, and is the author of three high fantasy novels.

Samantha

Having attained a BA Hons Degree in English and Literary Studies with Writing and Publishing, Sammy is working on her first book while flexing her writing muscles in her blog and on her Facebook page.

Mark

Mark has been fascinated with books since he learned to read, and wanted to write ever since he found someone who could read his handwriting. 

 

He predominately writes short fiction, science fiction and speculative fiction.
